Never fear, I’ve been contacted by more than a few Indians who support ethical behavior AND free markets…

I’m actually in a phase where I can’t devote much time to anything but this blog and my own personal affairs..but once that’s done, I will be working on my writing/books again.

I like my privacy…no films for me.
I even hesitate to speak in public and look forward to learning how to podcast so I can sell my writing that way in the future.

But survival comes first, for now.
I postponed that while I was writing the other books, and time to think of numero uno now.

Your writing is pretty insightful on all this and makes me proud that you are from the same country as I am.
On my recent trip back, at the airport lounge I saw the largest aisle was devoted for economic/management related books. There was no “Mobs” but stack-full of books on how to price securities and calculate derivatives/puts etc, also showcased prominently was ARS’s “Too big to fail” etc falling in the “and then steer that outrage in ways that protect the industry.” type of writing. Most of the B schools are filled with ambitious and industrious Indians who would be doing “gods work”.I only wished if only they had Mobs on the aisle.

Aside I think a fictional work based on your life would be an interesting read :). I am Ron Paul types as well.

I love Camus. I didn’t cotton to him when I was in college, which is when most people do..
I was much more fond of people like Hesse…

But there are lots of pieces of his I’d like to revisit now..

There’s another great quote of his on beauty and history I want to post on in a while..

VTBS, you haven’t purused much libertarian literature, have you? Or perhaps you’re insinuating that Libertarianism will soon be declared seditious?

Very true about the greater transparency there.
Frankly, some members of the Swiss financial community were in complete shock at the way US banks skirted regulations by “outsourcing” their transactions and concealing that in the fine print…or not even mentioning it.

Maybe I should add a comment on that. (I haven’t been following the European story much, because I don’t know the politics first-hand and hesitate to say something that might be quite off-base for people living there..)

My language might be confusing. If the ECB bails out members, then confidence in its financial responsibility diminishes and with it the euro.
If they don’t (highly unlikely, from all reports) Greek suffers but the euro strengthens.

There’s much more to it than that, but that’s the gist of Rogers’ argument.

Oh, maybe I should put that part of Reed’s quote in as well…he does explain that equal before the law, or equal as people, isn’t the same as equal economically.

I think that’s a fairly common place libertarian truism
